Hunan Vocational and Technical College of national defense industry

Hunan Institute of technology and industry is located in Changsha Zhuzhou Xiangtan two oriented society experimental zone. It is a full-time ordinary higher vocational and technical college approved by Hunan Provincial People's government and registered by the Ministry of education. The college is sponsored by the director of Jiangnan Machinery Group, a large-scale military enterprise in China's weapon industry. It is a major vocational college for China's national defense science and technology industry to cultivate high-level skilled personnel in military industry. In April 2008, the college was established by the Ministry of human resources and social security of China (No. 65 [2008] of the Ministry of human resources and social security) as the first batch of "national high skilled talents training demonstration base" in China. In June 2008, the college was established by China Ordnance Group as the high skilled talent training sub center of China ordnance system.

Over the past 40 years, the college has adhered to the direction of "facing the local, rural and industry". Guided by the market, the college has deepened the reform of various systems, created characteristic backbone majors, strengthened the advantages of school enterprise combination, innovated the talent training mode, and cultivated tens of thousands of high skilled talents for the development of China's defense science and technology industry and local economic construction.
