Quanzhou Institute of information engineering is a full-time application-oriented undergraduate college established in 2014 with the approval of the Ministry of education on the basis of Quanzhou Institute of information technology founded in 2002.

The school is located in Quanzhou City, one of the first batch of famous historical and cultural cities in China, the capital of East Asian culture and the starting point of the maritime Silk Road.
