Fujian Police Vocational College, formerly known as Fujian Police College, was founded in 1985. It was rated as a national key technical secondary school in 1999. In February 2004, the provincial government approved the establishment of Fujian Police Vocational College. The college has abundant teachers, perfect facilities and beautiful environment. The college now covers an area of 165 mu, with a building area of 63000 square meters. It has 20 associate professors and senior lecturers and 37 lecturers. It has a sufficient number of teachers with reasonable structure and high quality, and has a relatively complete teaching facilities and equipment system with the characteristics of police colleges.

The college focuses on Higher Vocational Education for police officers, and has three functions: higher degree education for police officers, re education for on-the-job police training, and Research on criminal correction technology. Conquering the enemy is the necessary requirement of the people's police, and learning to learn martial arts is one of the educational characteristics of our college. Physical training, Baton skills, enemy capture skills, boxing, Sanda, taekwondo, the use of warning equipment, detection and modern reconnaissance technology are compulsory courses in the college. At the same time, we should combine the theoretical knowledge education of law and humanities with the cultivation of martial arts skills, and strive to cultivate comprehensive and application-oriented senior professionals with both civil and martial arts skills.

The college plans to set up prison administration, reeducation through labor, criminal investigation, judicial and social work, criminal psychological correction, criminal education, security, drug prohibition, civil investigation, etc. In the first phase of the plan in 2004, 450 students will be recruited from all over the province, including 200 students majoring in prison administration, 50 students majoring in criminal investigation, 100 students majoring in judicial and social work, and 100 students majoring in security.

The law enforcement posts of prisons, reeducation through labor and public security and law enforcement departments in our province are the main employment channels for graduates of Police Vocational College, and the economic and police posts of banking system and large enterprises and institutions in our province are the vast space for graduates of our college.
