Xinjiang Modern Vocational and Technical College

Xinjiang Modern Vocational and technical college is a comprehensive full-time college approved by the people's Government of Xinjiang Autonomous Region and registered by the Ministry of education. The Ministry of education compiles the code of institutions of higher learning 13726. The college is located in the beautiful city of Urumqi. Since its establishment in 1995, the university has carried out educational and non academic education at all levels, short-term training and other teaching activities.

The college covers an area of 83250 square meters, with a building area of 41774 square meters. The newly built campus covers an area of more than 3000 mu (including more than 2000 mu for barren mountain greening), with a total building area of 148100 square meters and a total investment of 162.5 million yuan (completed in 2008). The college's teaching equipment and instruments are worth more than 9 million yuan, with a collection of more than 130000 books. There are more than 1550 students, 258 staff and 182 full-time and part-time teachers (including 78 professors and associate professors and 21 Masters). Since its establishment in 1995, more than 6200 graduates at all levels have been trained. More than 96% of the graduates have been employed in various grass-roots units in Xinjiang.
