Wenzhou Vocational and technical college is a full-time vocational college approved by the Ministry of education in 1999. It is under the leadership of Zhejiang Provincial Department of education and sponsored by Wenzhou Municipal People's government. At present, it is a National Demonstrative Higher Vocational Construction College, a national advanced unit of vocational education, a national excellent school of talent training level evaluation in higher vocational colleges, and a director unit of Zhejiang Higher Vocational Education Research Association.

The college is located in the beautiful Wenzhou Higher Education Park, with a total area of 637 mu, a construction area of 224000 square meters and a total investment of more than 560 million yuan. It has more than 86 million yuan of teaching equipment and 1.08 million books in the library. There are 420 full-time teachers, 146 with deputy senior titles (including 20 full-time professors) and 208 double qualified teachers. The college gives full play to the advantages of the flexible mechanism of private enterprises, actively serves the regional economy, and carries out all-round and multi-level cooperation with 35 industry associations and more than 310 private enterprises: jointly cultivate high skilled talents, jointly build majors, jointly develop courses, jointly build and share training bases, share school enterprise talent resources, and jointly carry out applied research and technology development.
