Shanghai Lixin College of accounting and finance is a public full-time ordinary university with distinctive characteristics of accounting and finance. It was formed by the merger of Shanghai Lixin College of accounting and Shanghai Institute of Finance in 2016. The name of "Lixin" originates from the meaning of "people do not believe, do not stand" in the Analects of Confucius. The origin of the school can be traced back to the Lixin education founded by "the father of modern Chinese accounting" and famous educator Mr. Pan Xulun in 1928. In 2011, the school obtained the qualification of master's degree. In the nearly 90 years of school running history, the school is known as the birthplace of modern accounting education and the cradle of future financiers.

The school has three campuses in Pudong, Songjiang and Xuhui, covering an area of more than 1200 mu. At present, there are more than 20000 students, including more than 160 professional postgraduates, more than 18700 undergraduates and more than 1600 junior college students. The quality of students and the employment situation of students are good. The employment rate of postgraduates is 100%, and that of undergraduates is more than 98%. It is rated as "the National University with typical employment experience" by the Ministry of education.

The school adheres to the concept of "student development as the center" and strives to cultivate high-quality applied talents with "integrity, innovative consciousness, practical ability and international vision".

There are 14 secondary colleges, and the first college of Finance and technology in China will be established and enrolled this year. At present, there are 33 undergraduate majors, with the qualification of master of audit. With applied economics, business administration and statistics as the main subjects, the school has initially formed a multi-disciplinary pattern of cross support and coordinated development. The discipline of business administration has been selected as Shanghai's first-class discipline and Shanghai's plateau discipline. Applied economics has been included in the first-class discipline cultivation plan of Shanghai's colleges and universities. Open economy and trade is a key discipline in Shanghai. The university has two national characteristic majors of accounting and finance, one national talent training mode innovation experimental zone of accounting, three comprehensive reform pilot undergraduate majors of finance, taxation and finance in Shanghai, and eight application-oriented undergraduate pilot majors of accounting, finance, marketing, international economy and trade in Shanghai Municipal universities.

The University attaches great importance to the construction of "high-level, application-oriented and international" teaching staff. Through the implementation of personnel system innovation such as "permanent track" and "Teacher Researcher", "backbone teacher incentive plan", and excellent talent project, the university has gathered a number of distinguished professors, Oriental Scholars lecture professors, overseas famous teachers, visiting professors, etc., who have important academic status and rich practical management experience Experts and scholars at home and abroad. At present, there are nearly 1500 teaching staff, including more than 1000 full-time teachers, nearly 400 full-time teachers with senior professional and technical positions, including nearly 80 full-time teachers with senior professional titles, more than 310 vice senior professional titles, and 435 full-time teachers with doctoral degrees.

The school is rich in teaching resources, and the library has 2.4 million books. It has 14 experimental teaching areas and 194 stable off campus practice bases, among which the economic management experimental teaching center is listed as the construction unit of Shanghai Municipal experimental teaching demonstration center, and the management practice education base of Lixin Accounting firm has become a national off campus practice education base construction project for college students.

The school attaches great importance to the "combination of teaching and sports", and Shanghai school sports evaluation center has been established in our school. The school fencing sports characteristic project has a long standing reputation, is the Reform Pilot School of Shanghai fencing professional sports team combined with physical education; Taekwondo project is the construction project of Shanghai high level sports team.

The university is committed to building a social demand-oriented scientific research development and social service system. Centering on the national strategy, especially the major needs of Shanghai's economic and social development, the university has formed an applied decision-making consulting research advantage characterized by "solving major practical problems". At present, one belt, one road, one of the 1 innovative research bases in Shanghai, 1 of the Shanghai think tanks, has set up a number of research institutes, such as the Shanghai science and Technology Finance Research Institute, the modern payment and Internet Financial Research Center, the Free Trade Area Research Institute, the "one belt and one road" Research Institute, and so on. In cooperation with the development research center of Shanghai municipal government, the decision-making consulting research base of "Shanghai international financial center construction and service economy and system innovation" was established.

The university has always adhered to the open school running strategy, implemented the international school running development strategy, established cooperative relations with more than 100 universities and research institutions at home and abroad, and cooperated with professional institutions such as ACCA, AIA and Australian Institute of certified public accountants for international accounting qualification training. At present, there are more than 50 Sino foreign cooperation and exchange projects and 4 Sino foreign cooperation in running schools. Every year, there are nearly 1000 long-term and short-term foreign students, including more than 300 degree students. In 2015, we cooperated with the International Business Academy of Denmark to establish Confucius Classroom. In 2016, we applied with Krakow University of economics in Poland for approval of Erasmus plus. In 2017, we successfully carried out the international consulting competition of icon (Global Consulting Network) with Long Island University of New York.
