Wuhan Conservatory of music

Wuhan Conservatory of music, located at 255 Jiefang Road, Wuchang, China, is an institution for training senior music professionals. The college has a long history, which can be traced back to the Music Department of Wuchang art college founded in 1928. More than 70 years of school running has trained more than 8000 music talents and made outstanding contributions to the development of China's music industry. The name of the college has changed. In 1985, it was named as Wuhan Conservatory of music. Professor Tong Zhongliang, the first Secretary of the Party committee and President of the college, and Professor Yang Feng, the current Secretary of the Party committee and Professor Zhao Deyi, the president of the college. The college mainly focuses on undergraduate education and actively develops postgraduate education. It is one of the first batch of units authorized to confer master's degree in China. The college has attached middle schools and primary schools to cultivate reserve forces of higher music talents. In order to meet the needs of social music education, the college has established a college of Adult Education (adult diploma education) and a training college (non diploma education for adults and children). The college has majors in composition, music and sound director, musicology, national instrumental music, piano, string music, wind music, vocal music, music education, dance, etc. The "Oriental Symphony Orchestra", the "Chinese chime Orchestra" and the "chorus art troupe of Wuhan Conservatory of music", which are mainly composed of teachers and students from the orchestral department, the folk music department and the vocal music department, have experienced many years of training and are famous at home and abroad for their superb artistic level. At present, the college has 456 staff, including 260 full-time teachers, 20 professors and 76 associate professors. The college employs musicians from the United States, Germany, Belarus, Ukraine, Armenia and other countries to teach piano, Violin and vocal music. At present, there are 2124 college students, 79 of whom are studying for master's degree. The college has a unique style, first-class sound chime concert hall, as well as audio-visual teaching center, computer music experiment center, Music Acoustics Laboratory, digital recording studio, multimedia classroom and other modern teaching and research facilities. The library has a collection of nearly 300000 books and audio-visual materials. This year, the college has established "Chinese music archaeology center" and "Chinese Taoist music research and training center". In order to open up a new situation of teaching and scientific research, the college has proposed a new idea of "marriage of music and technology, combination of tradition and contemporary", undertaken and completed a number of national and provincial key projects, such as "integration of Chinese folk songs? Hubei volume", "integration of Chinese folk instrumental music? Hubei volume", "Encyclopedia of China? Music and dance volume", and "works of the 20th century" The development history of music technology, the comprehensive record of ancient Chinese music literature in the 20th century, the research of Hubei folk music, the complete works of Nie Er and the complete works of Xian Xinghai, etc. With its own academic strength, the college has hosted two "Wuhan International chime Research Conference" (1988, 1998), two "national harmony acoustics academic conference" (1979, 1985), two "national young composers' new works exchange conference" (1986, 1998), the fourth national academic seminar on temperament (2001), Solfeggio and long-term training in national music and art colleges Academic conferences on horn, horn, clarinet, etc. Teachers of the college often attend various academic conferences at home and abroad, publish papers and make academic reports. In the early spring of 2002, our Oriental Symphony Orchestra was invited to Austria to hold the "Air China century Tour - Vienna? Chinese New Year Concert" in the Golden Hall of Vienna and Century Hall of Frankfurt, Germany, and achieved great success!
