Yunnan Medical College

Yunnan Medical College was established in May 2003 with the approval of Yunnan Provincial People's government and Ministry of education. The predecessor of Yunnan Medical College is Yunnan health school, which was founded in 1936. At present, the school is located in Kunming, which is like spring all the year round, covering an area of 633 mu. Provincial Rural Doctor correspondence school, provincial telemedicine center and provincial general practitioner transformation training center are also built in the school.

The school has nearly 236 on-the-job teaching staff and 66 senior professional titles of associate professor and above. In addition, we also employ all kinds of senior experts to teach in our school for a long time. The university has established different levels of communication relations with Mohawk College, Canadian College and federal college. The school has a laboratory that can meet the needs of teaching and an advanced distance teaching system. There are more than 60 clinical practice hospitals. After its establishment, the school will offer nursing, foreign nursing, Stomatology, medical imaging, traditional Chinese medicine, clinical medicine and other specialties. There are more than 5000 registered students.

Facing the challenge of the new century, the university has established a goal of establishing itself in the province, facing the whole country and radiating to Southeast Asia, making the university a medical college with outstanding characteristics, high quality, obvious benefits and well-known in the society; has formulated the short-term and medium-term strategic development plan of the University and two major tasks of building a learning school; has carried out teaching reform, personnel distribution system reform, and has carried out a series of tasks It includes three reforms, including the reform of logistics socialization, four major constructions, namely, discipline construction, teaching staff construction, new campus construction, practice hospital and practice base construction, and five guarantees, including strengthening theoretical armed work, strengthening the construction of leading group and cadre team, strengthening party construction and Party style and clean government construction, strengthening system construction, and expanding the scale of running a school.

The school will follow the guiding ideology of "facing the grassroots, mainly the first line of counties, townships and border mountainous areas, and committed to the cultivation of practical and skilled medical talents".
