Liuzhou Railway Vocational and technical college is a public institution of higher learning managed by Liuzhou Municipal People's government and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Education Department. It is the first rail transit Vocational College in Southwest China. Guantang new campus is located in Liuzhou Vocational Education Park, Guantang Avenue, Liudong new district. The new campus covers an area of more than 660000 square meters, the planned campus building area is 280000 square meters, and 230000 square meters of buildings have been built and used. At present, the school has more than 12000 full-time vocational college students, including 40 undergraduates, 662 teaching staff, including 467 full-time teachers, and more than 130 people with deputy senior and above titles. There are 9 secondary colleges, 2 teaching departments and 1 Education Center, and 41 enrollment majors of general higher vocational education.

Founded in 1956, the school is a model higher vocational college in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, a construction project unit of colleges with Guangxi characteristics, and one of the first batch of pilot units for joint training reform of high-end Application-oriented Undergraduate Talents in Guangxi.

The school has made remarkable achievements in personnel training, and a large number of talents have emerged. Since its establishment, the school has trained more than 100000 high-tech skilled talents for railway modernization and local economic construction. Among the 16 chief technicians of Nanning Railway Bureau, 13 are graduates of our school. The students have solid professional skills, and the Zoje news has spread frequently that the students participate in all kinds of national college students' skills competitions. Since 2010, the school has participated in the national vocational college skills competition (higher vocational group) on behalf of Guangxi, and won 6 first prizes, 24 second prizes, and 35 third prizes.
