Jiangxi Vocational College of Finance and Economics

Jiangxi Vocational College of Finance and economics is a full-time public college affiliated to the Department of finance of Jiangxi Province. Its predecessor is Jiangxi School of Finance and accounting, which was founded in 1960. It was upgraded to Jiujiang Branch of Jiangxi Vocational College of Finance and Economics (general college) in 1988 and renamed Jiangxi Vocational College of Finance and economics in 2002. In 2009, it was listed as one of the first batch of "Model Higher Vocational Colleges in Jiangxi Province"; in 2012, it was selected as 50 "National Graduate Employment typical experience colleges" by the Ministry of education; in 2013, it was awarded as "national top 50 college students satisfaction colleges" by the Ministry of education; in 2013, it was selected as one of the first batch of national backbone higher vocational colleges construction excellent units by the Ministry of education and the Ministry of finance.

The college is located at the foot of Lushan Mountain, the Bank of the Yangtze River and the Bank of Poyang Lake, in the center of Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, with a campus area of 516 mu. There are 113 on campus training rooms and productive training bases such as simulated accounting firms and simulated banks. Among them, logistics training bases are supported by the central government. In cooperation with well-known enterprises such as Guosheng securities and Wal Mart, there are 420 off campus training bases. It has a collection of more than 1.15 million books and 5877gb e-books.

The college has 11 teaching departments, including accounting (1), accounting (2), finance, taxation and finance, economic management, business and tourism, information engineering, applied foreign languages, undergraduate department, International Education Center, ideological and political department and basic department. This year, 31 enrollment majors are set up. Among them, accounting computerization and taxation are provincial demonstration majors; accounting, international economy and trade, business management and other six majors are provincial characteristic majors; "cost accounting practice" is a national excellent course; "financial accounting", "tax law" and other 16 courses are provincial excellent courses; in 2012, they won the first prize of national vocational college accounting skills competition group.

The college has 839 teaching staff, including 562 full-time teachers, 576 part-time teachers, 168 professors and associate professors, and 4 foreign teachers. 93% of the professional teachers have double qualification and have three provincial excellent teaching teams. The college actively carries out foreign exchanges and cooperation, provides students with a channel for their academic qualifications to rise, and carries out undergraduate and master's degree awarding and other cooperative education projects with well-known universities at home and abroad.
