Shanghai Vocational College of Arts and crafts

Shanghai Vocational College of Arts and crafts is the only independent Higher Vocational College of art and design in Shanghai. It is also the only higher vocational college in Shanghai to undertake the national education system reform pilot. It was jointly established by Shanghai Vocational College of Arts and crafts (founded in 1960) and Shanghai Second Light Industry Workers' University (founded in 1980) in 2003. After more than 50 years of development and accumulation, Shanghai Polytechnic of Arts and crafts has gradually formed a development idea of "inheriting tradition, creating the present and expanding the future", and has accumulated a strong comprehensive school running strength. In 2013, the college won the title of national advanced vocational education unit, and in 2014, it became one of the top 50 universities with typical employment experience. In 2015, the college became one of the first batch of 23 pilot colleges in China recognized by the Ministry of culture's "2015 training plan for inheritors of intangible cultural heritage in China". In 2016, the college successfully passed the acceptance of "leap plan (post demonstration construction)" project. The college has been awarded "Shanghai civilized unit" for many times.

School running characteristics:

In recent years, seizing the opportunity of Shanghai's construction of "design city" and the development of cultural and creative industries, the college has established "Shanghai digital art public training base", "Shanghai Arts and crafts public training base" and "China Gold creative industry center", etc., with "Oriental scholar team", international designers, arts and crafts masters, folk art masters, and gradually formed a team of "Oriental Scholars" Production training workshops and all kinds of studios as the main form of school running.

Shanghai Polytechnic of Arts and crafts has been exploring new ways of running schools in cooperation with top international enterprises, implementing the development mode of "two wheel drive", "outside the system" and "inside the system", stimulating the reform and innovation momentum, and establishing various forms of school enterprise cooperation education mode. The project achievement "docking with international top enterprises, innovating school running mechanism and cultivating high-end art and design professionals" of the college to break the bottleneck of school enterprise cooperation in Higher Vocational Colleges won the second prize of 2014 national teaching achievement award, and five teaching achievements won the special prize, the first prize and the second prize of Shanghai municipal teaching achievement award respectively. The college students have won many awards in the D & amp; ad competition (one of the top four international creative design competitions), the 8th Hamburg International Animation Competition in Germany, the golden calf award of the times (the largest advertising creative award in the Chinese world), the National College Students' advertising competition and other international and domestic high-level competitions.

The college has six secondary colleges including fashion and technology, visual design, environmental art, digital art, WPP, crystal digital art and other scientific research institutions such as arts and crafts research center. In 2016, the enrollment majors were interior art design, environmental art design, public art design, clothing and apparel design, jewelry design and technology, arts and crafts design, jade design and technology, ceramic design and technology, leather art design, carving art design, product art design and exhibition art design There are 21 majors, including accounting major, advertising design and production major, art design major, game design major, animation design major, digital media art design major, photography and video art major, film and television multimedia technology major, communication and planning major, and art design (through secondary and higher vocational education) major.
