Guangzhou Kangda vocational and technical college is a full-time comprehensive university with independent academic certificate qualification approved by the people's Government of Guangdong Province, registered by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China and directly managed by the Department of education of Guangdong Province in 2003. The college is located in the North District of Guangzhou Development Zone, adjacent to the Sino Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City under construction. It is the only government enterprise cooperation Vocational College in Guangdong Province. It is the talent training base of Guangzhou Development Zone, higher vocational education base of Luogang District, and industrial transformation and upgrading of Guangzhou Sino Singapore knowledge city.

Since its establishment, the college has trained more than 11000 professional and technical talents for the society, and now has more than 7500 full-time ordinary vocational college students. In December 2010, the college passed the evaluation of personnel training in Vocational Colleges of the Ministry of education.
