Xi'an Communication College of the Chinese people's Liberation Army (PLA) is a communication college that trains junior communication command officers and engineering and technical officers for the whole army, and is subordinate to the general staff.

The college, formerly known as the communication school of the headquarters of the Northeast Democratic Coalition army, was founded in 1945. In 1986, it was renamed Xi'an Institute of communication. The college is located at No. 97, middle Chang'an Road, Xi'an city. The camp is divided into three parts, covering an area of 618.2 mu. The living area is located in Chang'an Middle Road and Zhangba East Road respectively, and the teaching area is located in Wangqu town of Xi'an city.

The college offers communication command, computer science and technology, information engineering, communication engineering, network engineering, wired communication command, wired communication engineering, telecommunication exchange command, telecommunication exchange engineering, data communication terminal, computer maintenance, etc. The training level is mainly undergraduate, with some junior colleges, and the training target is officers. At the same time, the college is also a pilot college for the whole army to recruit military and civilian two-way selective students. The training level is undergraduate, and the training goal is engineering and technical cadres. Now there are more than 3400 students. In addition to in school training, the college, as the main examination institution, also undertakes the task of recruiting self-taught examination students majoring in computer communication engineering, self-taught examination students majoring in computer communication engineering, and all kinds of correspondence students majoring in communication.

The college has good teaching and scientific research conditions, teaching facilities, strong teachers. As the "military optical fiber communication personnel training center", our institute has gathered the most advanced optical fiber communication equipment and teaching means, and is an important training base for military optical fiber communication personnel. There are 2 optical fiber and program-controlled experimental bases, 41 laboratories, 8 public multimedia teaching centers, 7 modern computer network centers, and 1 Simulation Center. There are 165 sets of optical terminals, program-controlled exchanges and other advanced equipment, and more than 4300 communication equipment, instruments and meters. The library has a building area of 6000 square meters and a collection of 250000 books. He founded newspapers and magazines such as military academy life and wired communication.

The college has a teaching staff with profound academic attainments, rigorous style of study, solid theoretical foundation, reasonable echelons and rich teaching experience. In recent years, the academy has won 2 first prizes, 1 second prize and 12 third prizes for military scientific and technological progress; 2 first prizes, 5 second prizes and 4 third prizes for military teaching achievement evaluation; 1 first prize and 3 second prizes for military communication training simulation equipment.

In recent years, our college students have achieved excellent results in the "national college students electronic design competition" and "National College Students English competition". In the National College English level examination and the national computer level examination, also achieved good results.

Since its establishment, the college has trained and transported more than 10000 communication officers for the whole army, and trained more than 4000 professionals for local posts and telecommunications, telecommunications and public security departments. The graduates are all over the PLA headquarters and all communication units (stations).
