Capital Institute of Physical Education (formerly Beijing Normal University of Physical Education) is a municipal college in Beijing. It is located in the famous Jimen tobacco tree scenic spot in Beijing, adjacent to ZhongGuanCun science and technology park. The college was founded in 1956, formerly known as "Beijing Sports School". It was rebuilt as "Beijing Sports Normal University" in 1960 and renamed as "capital sports college" in 2000. In the 49 years since its establishment, the college has made remarkable achievements in various undertakings. At present, the college ranks in the forefront of similar colleges and universities in terms of school running scale, school running level, specialty setting, teaching staff, teaching quality, scientific research achievements, venues and facilities. In 2004, in the "evaluation report on the comprehensive competitiveness of Chinese universities" jointly developed by China Science Evaluation Research Center, China Institute of science and technology information, Ministry of science and technology, and China Youth Daily, the comprehensive competitiveness of our university ranked the second among similar universities in China, and the ranking of "school running resources" and "teaching level" ranked the first among similar universities in China. The development of our hospital has been warmly cared by the party and state leaders. Jiang Zemin, Li Peng, Li Ruihuan, Wu Bangguo, Jia Qinglin, Zeng Qinghong, Chen Zhili and other state leaders have visited our hospital at different times. The college is divided into North and South campuses, covering an area of 233100 square meters. The campus has a library, central laboratory, computer center, college student gymnasium, track and field complex, the first swimming complex, basketball hall, Volleyball Hall, tennis hall, martial arts hall, gymnasium, football field, plastic track and field field field, north campus gymnasium and other large sports facilities. In addition to ensuring the daily teaching and training tasks, all kinds of stadiums are open to the public all the year round, actively carry out the national fitness campaign, and receive more than 1 million fitness exercisers every year. At present, the college has initially formed a multi-level, multi specification and multi form pattern of running a school. It has set up seven undergraduate majors, including physical education, sports training, sports human science, social sports, national traditional sports, sports management and sports news, covering all the undergraduate majors in the setting of sports majors issued by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China Besides postgraduate, undergraduate and technical secondary school students, we also recruit visiting scholars at home and abroad, graduate degree courses and foreign students. Our college is also one of the two sports colleges in China that can accept government scholarships for international students. The Faculty of the college has a reasonable structure and strong strength. It has a faculty with high academic level, rich teaching experience and strong professionalism. Professors and associate professors account for 51.9% of the total number of teachers, and teachers with master's degree or above account for 50% of the total number of teachers. The university has strong scientific research strength, undertakes a number of national and ministerial level topics, and publishes a large number of academic works. The college has a high-level Key Laboratory of Beijing sports function evaluation and technical analysis, and has a Beijing sports event management and marketing research base and pearl ball training base. College library is one of the members of Beijing University network library. It shares resources with other colleges and universities, and takes the lead in automation, networking and digital construction of similar colleges and universities in China. The college has signed cooperation agreements with more than 20 universities and research institutions in the United States, South Korea, Japan, Finland, Australia, Russia, New Zealand, Belgium, Greece and other countries to exchange students and visiting scholars. In order to meet the needs of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, our institute has established "Beijing Sydney senior sports talent training center" and master's class of sports event management in cooperation with Sydney University of science and technology in Australia. To train high-level event management talents for Beijing and the whole country. Since its establishment, the college has trained more than 20000 PE teachers, athletes, coaches, sports management personnel and sports research personnel for Beijing and the whole country. Our students won four gold medals and two silver medals in the Ninth National Games, six gold medals and two silver medals in the 2002 Busan Asian Games, one gold medal in the 28th Olympic Games, one gold medal and one silver medal in the Paralympic Games, and broke a Paralympic record. The school has undertaken part of the competition organization work of the 11th Asian Games, the national minority games, the 21st World University Games and other large-scale games, and successfully hosted the 2004 International Table Tennis Federation Professional Tour Finals. During Beijing's bid to host the 2008 Olympic Games, our hospital successively received Mr. buboca, member of the assessment panel of the International Olympic Committee, Mr. kirian, President of the International University of sports, Mr. Molu, President of the International Basketball Federation, and officials of the International Judo Federation to visit our hospital. They all accomplished their tasks excellently and contributed to Beijing's success in winning the right to host the 2008 Olympic Games. Our college has formed a kind of campus culture atmosphere with high grade, wide field, not only adhering to the main theme, but also lively. In 2000, it was awarded the honorary title of "civilized campus" by Beijing. In 2001, it was awarded the "advanced unit of spiritual civilization in the capital". For many years, it was awarded the "garden type unit" and "advanced unit of greening" in Beijing. The whole College strives to establish a good school spirit and style of study, and student associations are very active. The volunteer team composed of thousands of students in our college has performed well in many large-scale cultural and sports activities, such as the 50th National Day ceremony, the 21st World University Games and the finals of the International Table Tennis Federation professional tour.
