PLA Aviation Academy

The Aviation Academy of the PLA army, at the level of deputy army, is subordinate to the general staff. It is the youngest Military Academy in the whole army, and it was newly established in 1999 when the organizational structure of the military academy was compressed and adjusted. The campus is located in Tongzhou District, Beijing, with beautiful environment and convenient transportation. It is a modern new military academy of PLA Army Aviation Academy with advanced design, complete functions, reasonable layout and distinctive features, which integrates the latest design concept and innovative spirit. The college has 40000 square meters of teaching and experimental buildings, complete teaching and research facilities.

Over the years, the college has made remarkable achievements in deepening teaching reform and promoting quality education. The main task is to train middle-level political command personnel, helicopter pilots of the army and air force, and maintenance cadres of the army aviation engineering. It is a multi-disciplinary and multi-level comprehensive college of military and politics, command and technology, air service and ground service, and officer and soldier training.
