Jiangsu Institute of Architecture Technology

Jiangsu Vocational and Technical College of architecture is a provincial public full-time university and a national demonstrative vocational college. It was founded in 1979 and was originally a military academy. In 1999, it was approved by the Ministry of education and was upgraded to Jiangsu Vocational and technical college in the first batch. In 2011, it was renamed as Jiangsu Vocational and Technical College of architecture.

The school is located in Quanzhan scenic area of Xuzhou City, covering an area of 1080 mu. The new and old campuses of the school are built in succession, with beautiful campus environment, complete teaching and living facilities, and rich and colorful cultural activities. It is the "charming campus of national vocational colleges" and "Garden School of Jiangsu Province".

The school has 8 secondary colleges and 3 teaching departments, with nearly 13000 full-time students. It has 4 national demonstration construction majors, 10 provincial brand and characteristic majors, 25 national and provincial excellent courses, and 2 national training bases of "construction technology" and "coal mine safety technology". It has been rated as an advanced teaching university in Jiangsu Province. There are more than 6500 adult education students in the Institute of continuing education and international exchange. The school implements semi military management, teachers and students live on the same campus, full staff, all-round, the whole process of education atmosphere is strong.

The school adheres to the tenet of "providing the most suitable education for every student and making every student fully develop", comprehensively implements "classified training and hierarchical teaching", and continuously improves the quality of talent training.

The university has cooperated with domestic well-known large enterprises to build 20 enterprise colleges to jointly cultivate all kinds of technology application-oriented talents urgently needed by enterprises. The school has nearly 400 stable employment practice bases inside and outside the province. Graduates are mainly employed in Jiangsu Province and East China. Many of them have made achievements in well-known enterprises such as China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau, China Railway Tenth Engineering Bureau, China Coal Construction Group, Zhongnan group, Longxin group, Xugong Group and Vanke Group, and many of them have held positions of senior executives and technical directors.

The school has established 33 alumni branches in more than 20 provinces, cities, autonomous regions and some central cities in East China, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Guangdong and Xinjiang, which has built a broad platform for the sustainable development of graduates. According to the social survey conducted by the National Bureau of statistics of the Ministry of education in 2014, the graduates' satisfaction with their alma mater ranked first in Higher Vocational Colleges in China. According to the domestic authoritative third-party survey company, Mycos company, our graduates' employment rate, professional matching rate, salary, satisfaction with the employment status and other data are ranked in the forefront of similar colleges in Jiangsu Province, which are higher than the average level of national model higher vocational colleges. The proportion of alumni willing to recommend their alma mater to their relatives and friends is ranked first among similar colleges in Jiangsu Province.

The university has successively won more than 100 honorary titles, such as top 50 universities with typical employment experience in China, the "national employment competitiveness model school" selected by China Youth Daily for the first time, and the advanced collective of graduates' employment in Jiangsu Province. CCTV, people's daily, China Education Daily and China Youth Daily have reported on the successful experience of the school for many times.

In 2016, the school enrolled 4750 students from 26 provinces including Jiangsu, Shanghai, Guangdong, Sichuan, Liaoning, Jiangxi, Xinjiang and Tibet.
