On October 13, the second edition of the epidemic prevention manual for Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games and winter Paralympic Games (hereinafter referred to as the epidemic prevention manual) was released. Compared with the first edition released in October, the epidemic prevention manual released this time has clear requirements for Chinese Olympic personnel in the closed loop, and gives answers to whether they can travel before the competition, how to carry out nucleic acid testing and vaccination.
In order to meet the needs of epidemic prevention, the Beijing Winter Olympic Games will be subject to closed-loop management. During the event, a large number of Chinese Olympic personnel, including Chinese athletes, officials, staff of Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee and media reporters, will enter the closed-loop management.
The epidemic prevention manual requires that relevant Chinese personnel should be ready to enter the closed loop within 14 days of undertaking the competition task. Contact with others should be strictly restricted 14 days before the competition. This requirement is also applicable to personnel who have completed the whole course of vaccination, because there is still the possibility of testing positive and transmitting the virus. If the relevant personnel live at home, the contact scope shall be limited to family and colleagues, especially in indoor environment. Increased exposure will lead to an increase in the risk of positive testing before the game, and eventually lead to inability to undertake the work during the game. It is not recommended to travel for social reasons (except for work). Unnecessary contact must be reduced and entry into confined spaces and personnel gathering places should be avoided as far as possible.
Within 96 hours before the game, Chinese Olympic personnel must complete two nucleic acid tests, with an interval of at least 24 hours. The whole process of vaccination should be completed 14 days before the competition. All personnel of Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee who enter the closed-loop work shall complete the enhanced immunization 14 days before undertaking the race time work in accordance with China's vaccination guidelines.
The above requirements of the epidemic prevention manual are also applicable to the Olympic personnel who enter China before January 4, 2022 and stay in China for more than 21 days and need to enter the closed loop.
In the closed loop, all Olympic related personnel (including relevant domestic staff) in China must also carry out daily health monitoring and nucleic acid detection. They can only take special vehicles to and from the designated places (including competition venues and living places), so as to ensure no contact with the public or all kinds of personnel outside the closed loop.
Domestic registered Olympic personnel must download the "dongaotong" application and log in to the Winter Olympic health monitoring system. As required, they must monitor and report their health status every day from 14 days before the competition, during the whole competition and during the isolation period after the competition.
During the closed-loop period, all Olympic personnel in China must correctly wear kn95 / N95 / FFP2 masks without breathing valve throughout the whole process, except for training, competition, eating, drinking and living alone in the room.
Residents living in China in the closed loop must complete 21 days of isolation after the competition.
