Electronic driver's license has three characteristics: unity, real-time and safety, which provides convenience for drivers to apply for, show and use. Li Guozhong, spokesman of the Ministry of public security, said that drivers can log in to the "traffic control 12123" app personal account to get an electronic driver's license, which has the same legal effect as the paper driver's license.
It is reported that the electronic driver's license is generated through the national public security traffic control electronic license system to dynamically display the driver's license status, which can be applied to multiple scenes such as law enforcement management and public services, so as to facilitate real-time query, real-time presentation and real-time verification. The electronic driver's license adopts digital signature anti-counterfeiting technology, which is true, unique, safe and reliable.
"Drivers can show their electronic driver's license to handle traffic management businesses such as vehicle driving management, handling traffic violations and handling traffic accidents without submitting a paper driver's license." Li Guozhong said that during insurance claim settlement, vehicle rental and career recruitment, drivers can also show their electronic driver's license, and relevant units can verify their driving qualification online, so as to make it easier for people to drive and better serve the development of enterprises and industries.
Li Guozhong said that in the next step, based on the early pilot, the Ministry of public security will improve the information system, improve the supporting system, and strengthen the promotion of electronic driver's license.
