Central Organization Department: the total number of CPC members is 95.148 million

According to the latest party statistics of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, as of June 5, 2021, the total number of CPC members was 95.148 million, a net increase of 3.234 million or 3.5% over the end of 2019.

The Communist Party of China has 4.864 million grassroots organizations, a net increase of 182000 or 3.9% over the end of 2019. Among them, there are 273000 grassroots party committees, 314000 general branches and 4277000 branches.

1、 Party members

The gender, nationality and educational background of Party members. There are 27.45 million female party members, accounting for 28.8% of the total number of Party members. There are 7.135 million minority party members, accounting for 7.5%. There were 49.513 million Party members with college degree or above, accounting for 52.0%.

The age of Party members. There are 12.553 million Party members aged 30 and below, 11.126 million Party members aged 31 to 35, 9.39 million Party members aged 36 to 40, 8.76 million Party members aged 41 to 45, 9.382 million Party members aged 46 to 50, 8.671 million Party members aged 51 to 55, 8.337 million Party members aged 56 to 60, and 26.930 million Party members aged 61 and above.

The time when a party member joins the party. 134000 people joined the party before the founding of new China, 14.555 million people joined the party from the founding of new China to the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, 60.943 million people joined the party from the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and 19.516 million people joined the party since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

The occupation of Party members. There are 6.481 million workers (skilled workers), 25.817 million farmers and fishermen, 15.075 million professional technicians of enterprises, institutions and social organizations, 10.612 million managers of enterprises, institutions and social organizations, 7.773 million staff of Party and government organs, 3.067 million students, 7.205 million other professionals and 19.118 million retirees.

2、 Development of Party members

A total of 4.739 million Party members will be developed from January 1, 2020 to June 5, 2021, including 2.427 million Party members from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020 and 2.312 million Party members from January 1, 2021 to June 5, 2021.

Develop the gender, nationality, age and educational background of Party members. There were 2.124 million female party members, accounting for 44.8%. There were 451000 ethnic minority party members, accounting for 9.5%. There were 3.824 million Party members aged 35 and below, accounting for 80.7%. 2.22 million Party members (46.8%) with college degree or above have been developed.

Develop the career of Party members. There are 273000 workers (skilled workers), 685000 professional and technical personnel of enterprises, institutions and social organizations, 498000 management personnel of enterprises, institutions and social organizations, 795000 agriculture, animal husbandry and fishermen, 274000 staff of Party and government organs, 1872000 students and 341000 other professionals. We have developed 2.47 million Party members in production and work.

3、 Commendation within the party

From January 1, 2020 to June 5, 2021, Party organizations at all levels in China will commend 153000 advanced grassroots party organizations, 773000 outstanding Party members and 171000 outstanding party workers.

4、 Application for Party membership

As of June 5, 2021, there are 2005.5 million applicants and 10.057 million activists nationwide.

5、 Party Organization

Local committees of the party. There are 3199 local Party committees at all levels in China. Among them, there are 31 provincial (District, city) committees, 397 municipal (prefecture) committees and 2771 county (city, District, banner) committees.

Party organizations in urban streets, towns, communities (neighborhood committees) and administrative villages. Party organizations have been established in 8942 urban streets, 29693 townships, 113268 communities (neighborhood committees) and 491748 administrative villages, covering more than 99.9%.

Party organizations are organs, institutions, enterprises and social organizations. There are 742000 grass-roots party organizations in government organs, 933000 in public institutions, 1513000 in enterprises and 162000 in social organizations, all of which have been completed.
