Flowers solitary at the top of stems or branches; sepals 5, white, obovate or elliptic, 9-10 mm long, 4-6 mm wide, apex rounded or obtuse; without petals; stamens numerous, 2.5-5 mm long; carpels 7-12, shortly stipitate. The capsule is dark brown, 0.9-1.4 cm long and 4.5 mm wide, with triangular protuberances below the middle of the dorsal suture.

It grows under mountain forest or in the shade of grass slope. It is distributed in Sichuan and Western Hubei.
