Flowers several, axillary or terminal on short lateral branches; sepals 2, oblong; corolla rose red, 5-lobed, 1.5 cm in diameter, tubular from lower to middle, upper trumpet shaped, base side inflated; stamens 4, 2-strong; ovary lower, 3-locular, style elongated. Achene with 1 seed, apically with inflated persistent sepals. The flowering period is from June to July.
