Evergreen trees, 5-10m high. The branches are dense; the bark is gray brown and the branchlets are ribbed. The leaves are leathery, elliptic ovate or elliptic, 8-12 cm long and 3-5 cm wide; dark green on the top, pale white below, smooth on both sides; 3-6 pairs of sparsely serrated margin above the middle, entire margin below; 9-14 pairs of pinnate lateral veins, slender, not visible; petiole 1-3 cm long. Male inflorescence spicate axillary, 8-15 cm long, male flowers milky white, fragrant; female inflorescence spicate axillary.
