In 1999, Wei Xiong met the singer, Lisa Du, under the introduction of his friends, and worshipped each other as his teacher. After that, Wei Xiong decided to take part in the rookie singing competition. In many knockout competitions, Wei Xiong became the champion with his superb singing skills. In 2004, he went to Berklee College of music in Boston to study vocal music. In 2008, he was recognized by record companies and signed up as a singer. In 2009, he released his first solo album.
