Annual herbs. The stem is small, creeping, rooting at the nodes, and there are nodules on the fibrous roots. Leaves obovate, apex slightly concave, base cuneate, entire; stipules 2, broadly lanceolate, membranous. Flowers purulent, butterfly shaped, pedicel longer than petiole, 1-2 flowers; bracts 2-4, separated; calyx tube bell shaped, lobes 5; corolla purple blue. Pods linear, 2-2.5 cm long. The flowering and fruiting period is from May to September.

Born in high mountains and damp places. It is distributed in Guizhou, Yunnan and other places.
