Evergreen shrubs or small trees, about 8 meters high, the whole plant has fragrance, especially the leaves. The bark is gray brown with gray white patches and the twigs are spotted. Its leaflets are 5-15, ovate, ovate lanceolate to lanceolate, 5-9 cm in length and 2.5-4 cm in width. Its apex is acute or acuminate, or caudate and obtuse, its base is obtuse or broad cuneate to cuneate, its sides are slightly asymmetric, its edges are obviously serrate, and its petiole is reddish, about 0.5 cm long.
