It is a perennial herb with strong special smell. Taproot not obvious, with many fibrous roots, brown yellow. Cymes terminal, or terminal on lateral branches, with leaflets at the base of branches; calyx 4-lobed, 1-1.5 mm long, apex obtuse or slightly round, connate below the middle, with glandular dots; petals 4, white, separated, oblong or obovate oblong, apex obtuse, with transparent glandular dots; stamens 8, filaments filiform, varying in length and separated from each other, anthers oblong, yellow, longitudinal, 2-lobed Ovary 1, carpel 4, base separated, with ovary stalk, when fruit ripe, ovary stalk elongated, style 4, upper part united, base separated, stigma slightly expanded. It grows on hillside, under forest and shrub. It is distributed in southwest, South China, East China and Taiwan.
