[plant morphology] Clematis simplicifolia

Evergreen Liana. The root is long and thin, the middle part of which is expanded, showing a narrow spindle root tuber, and the surface is yellowish brown. Stem thin, with edge line, sparsely white pubescent. Single leaf opposite, long ovate or ovate lanceolate, 7-16 cm in length and 2-6 cm in width, apex acuminate, base shallowly cordate, margin sparsely shallowly serrate, thin papery, with white short hairs or subglabrous on the lower veins, veins 5, petiole 3.5-5.5 cm long. Cymes axillary, usually 1-flowered, sometimes 3-5-flowered, pedicel slender; perianth 4, ovate, 1-2 cm long, white or light yellow, outside densely covered with white pubescence; stamens numerous, filaments covered with white pubescence. Achene oblate ovate, pubescent, pinnate. Style 3. 5 cm long. The flowering period is from November to December. The fruiting period is from March to April of the next year.

The injection was made from the dried root of Clematis simplicifolium, containing 1g crude drug per ml. Intramuscular injection: 2 ml for adults, 1 ml for children over 2 years old and 0.5 ml for children under 2 years old. It can be used repeatedly when necessary. Clinical observation of 100 cases showed that 32 cases were markedly effective (pain disappeared), 33 cases were effective (pain relieved), 19 cases were relieved (pain relieved), and 16 cases were ineffective. It is effective for abdominal pain, wound pain, joint pain, muscle pain and headache.
