[plant morphology] Chenopodium album

Annual herb, 80-100 cm high. Stem erect, with 5 sharp edges, glabrous, green, sometimes with purple stripes. Leaves alternate, large, petiole 2-7 cm long; leaves triangular ovate or ovate, 6-15 cm long, 5-13 cm wide, apex acute, base slightly cordate, margin curved, with 1-4 teeth, both surfaces smooth and glabrous. Inflorescence large, paniculate, terminal or axillary; perianth segments 5, green, ovate, ca. 2 mm, obtuse, covered with pollen grains, abaxially with hypertrophic ridges; stamens 5; pistils 1.
