Erect herbs 1-2 years old, branched, 1-2 m high, pubescent. Stem 4-ribbed. Single leaf opposite, broad ovate to ovate, 4-10 cm long, 3-5 cm wide, apex acuminate or short pointed, margin with irregular teeth, base nearly round, both sides hairy, with small glandular dots; petiole 1.5-3 cm long. The flowers are whorled, axillary in the lower part, and raceme in the upper part, dense or discontinuous, 2.5 cm in diameter; calyx light green, tubular, 7-8 mm long, 5-lobed; lobes triangular lanceolate, with short hairs on the inside and outside; corolla tubular, 1.5 cm long, pink, 2-lipped, 5-lobed; upper lip erect, entire, lower lip broad, expanded, with short hairs on the inside; stamens 4 The longer pair is 1-locular, the shorter pair is 2-locular, longitudinally lobed; the pistil is 1-lobed and the stigma is 2-lobed.
