Plant form

Perennial herbs, 20-45 cm high, with white milk. It has long roots and milk. The stem is erect and tufted, 2-branched several times, with obvious edge line. Basal leaves oblanceolate, 3-4.5 cm long, 0.6-1 cm wide, apex obtuse, with short tip, margin sparsely denticulate, base cuneate, gradually narrowed into stalk, easy to fall off; cauline leaves alternate, linear, 1.5-6 cm long, 1.5-4 mm wide; apex acuminate, leaf margin sparsely denticulate, base cuneate, clasping stem. The inflorescence is arranged in 2-branched cymose corymbs; the involucre is bell shaped, bracts are 2-row, linear, short outside and long inside; all of them are glossy flowers with yellow corolla. Achenes slender columnar, ca. 4 mm. Dark brown, with fine ridges and white hairs.

It grows in bamboo forest on hillside or wet place by river.
