[source] it is the root of Aspidistra fuscata in Liliaceae.

[plant morphology] brown yellow spider eggs, also known as Millennium bamboo, creeping centipede.

Perennial perennial herbs. Underground rhizome transverse, with obvious nodes, many fibrous roots. Leaves basal, leathery, elliptic lanceolate, apex acuminate, base cuneate, entire, straight, veins distinct; long petiole. Flowers solitary, close to the ground, often difficult to see; perianth campanulate. Berry, globose, 1 seed.

It grows on wet slope land and sandy soil beside the road. It is distributed in Yunnan and other places.

[collection] all year round. Wash, slice, dry or fresh.

[flavor] pungent, slightly bitter, flat.

Functions and indications: dispel wind, detoxify, remove blood stasis and relieve pain.
