[source] it is the fruit of Amomum longiligular et.l.wu, a Zingiberaceae plant.

[plant morphology] perennial herb, 1-1.5m high, with creeping rhizome. Leaf blade linear lanceolate, 20-30cm long, 2.5-5cm wide, apex long, tail pointed, base gradually narrowed, glabrous on both sides; ligule lanceolate, 2-4.5cm long, membranous, glabrous. The total pedicel is 1-3cm long; bracts are lanceolate and brown; bracteoles wrap the calyx tube; calyx is white with 3 teeth at the top; corolla tube is slightly longer than calyx tube; labellum is round spoon shaped and white with a prominent and 2-lobed yellow tip at the top, midvein is raised and purple; stamen is about 1cm long, connective appendage is 3-lobed. The capsule is ovoid, 1.5-2.2cm long and 0.8-1.2cm wide, covered with flaky and split short soft spines; the seed is purple brown, covered with light brown membranous aril. The flowering period is from April to June and the fruiting period is from June to September.
