Evergreen vine shrubs, 20-40 cm high. The stem and petiole, the midrib under the leaf, the total pedicel, the pedicel and the calyx are densely covered with long glandular hairs and yellowish silky hairs. Single leaf alternate, papery, ovate or broadly ovate, 4.5-10.5 cm long, 3-10 cm wide, palmately 3-5-lobed, apex acuminate, base cordate, margin acutely serrate, both sides pilose; petiole 2.5-5.5 cm long; stipules pinnate, lobes strip. 3-5 flowers in axillary racemes; bracts like stipules; flowers white, 1-1.5 cm in diameter; calyx lobes lanceolate, inner and outer surfaces densely pilose; petals 5; stamens numerous, anthers elliptic; pistil style linear, longer than stamens. Aggregate fruit hemispherical, about 1 cm in diameter, dark red.

Born in hillside forest or under bamboo forest. It is distributed in Anhui, Zhejiang, Fujian, Hunan, Sichuan, Guizhou and other places.

[function indications] it is used to treat women's postpartum wind, irregular menstruation, and numbness of limbs: one to two pairs of Rubus hirsutum, one to two pairs of purple Sinomenium (rhamniaceae Guling gouer tea), one or two pairs of white horse bone (Rubiaceae June snow) and one or two pairs of Salvia miltiorrhiza.
