Perennial climbing plants. The leaves are oblong to lanceolate, 6-10 cm long and 2-3 cm wide, apex acuminate, base cuneate, margin microwavy and fleshy. Cymes terminal, long stalked; many flowered, scattered; sepals narrowly lanceolate; corolla tubular, erect, 2-lipped; ovary superior, disk annular. Capsule linear, 8-9 cm long, 2-3 mm wide, 2-valved and membranous at base in the following year.

Most of them live in big mountain forests. It is distributed in Yunnan, Guizhou and other places.

[nature and taste] it is flat in nature and astringent in taste.

Functions and indications: cooling blood, hemostasis, relieving cough and diuresis. For hemoptysis, rheumatism and pain.

[usage and dosage] oral administration: decoction, 0.5-1 Liang; or soaking in wine.
