[plant morphology] blue eared grass

Perennial scattered herbs, up to 30 cm tall, somewhat white woolly. Fibrous root is much, stout, slightly fleshy. Leaves oblong lanceolate, 2.5-5 cm long, apex mucronate or obtuse, base decurrent. Cymes axillary or terminal, subsessile; bracts large, leaflike; bracteoles falcate, oblong, mucronate; sepals unequal, separated or united at base; petals slightly unequal; often united at base into a tube; stamens B, fully developed, filaments often hairy; ovary 3-locular. Capsule small, oblong, hairy, 3-lobed at maturity. The seeds have reticulation and 1-2 pits. The flowering period is from September to October.

Born on hillside, wasteland and under forest. It is distributed in Yunnan, Guangdong and other places.
