Shrubs, up to 3 m high. Branchlets scabrous pubescent or smooth glabrous. Leaves opposite; broadly elliptic to elliptic ovate or elliptic lanceolate, 5-10 cm long, apex acuminate, base broadly cuneate, margin denticulate or denticulate, sparsely stellate hairs and glandular dots below; petiole 0.5-1 cm long.
