[source] it is the rhizome of Cimicifuga unifolia (Ranunculaceae). For plant morphology, please refer to the "white Asarum" section.

[collection] collect in summer and autumn, remove fibrous roots, wash and dry.

Warm in nature and pungent in taste.

Functions and indications: dispelling wind, dispersing cold, removing dampness and relieving pain.

[prescription selection] 1. To treat wind cold and cold: Ding Muxiang Wu Qian. Simmer water clothes.

② Cold temple for rheumatism: dingmuxiang, qingmuxiang, yanwangci, xiangzhanggen each five money. Wine making clothes.

③ Red and white dysentery: dingmuxiang, zhushalian each three money, brown sugar five money. Simmer water clothes.
