Maoxian word, No. Wuhu, Wu county (now Suzhou, Jiangsu) Zhu Sheng. The painting has been handed down by Chen Daofu, the forefather. It is good at flowers and birds and has vivid charm. When people refuse to accept gold and silk, when they are drunk, they will write freely. Calligraphy is very clear. There is body in Duanyi. In the 22nd year of Wanli (1594), I tried to make a scroll of deep and beautiful rivers and mountains, which is now stored in the Palace Museum.
