Yongzheng threw back the memorial, while Xie Jishi insisted on going up and sparing. Emperor Yongzheng found that the contents of Xie Jishi's impeachment were exactly the same as those of Li Fu's. He believed that Xie Jishi was under the command of Li Fu and Cai Fu and ordered Han Liangfu, the governor of Guangxi, to investigate. Li Dunne, Minister of the Ministry of punishment, asked who was the messenger? He answered with "Confucius and Mencius". He was sent to the army of Altay to serve in 1956, giving lectures and writing books. In 1729, general Zhenwu and Wang Xibao of Shuncheng County searched Xie Jishi's residence. He was found guilty of slandering Cheng Zhu in the commentaries on the great learning and the doctrine of the mean, and he "wantonly slandered" the current politics. On November 27, he was bound to the execution ground with Lu Shengnan. Lu Shengnan was beheaded first. At this time, the criminal officer asked Xie Jishi, "do you see?" Jishi replied, "I see it!" At the execution ground, Xiebao read out the imperial edict: "xiejishi will be lenient and free from death. He will hand it over to Wang Xibao of Shuncheng, and make him work as a drudgery to make atonement." he will serve before staying in the army. Xie Jishi was very smart when he was a child. At the age of 12, he wrote GuanFeng arts on behalf of his father, and he also wrote miscellaneous works of meizhuang, notes to the University, comments on the classics and records of northwest regions. To my uncle
Xie Jishi studied very hard when he was a child. In order to study quietly, he often went to longyinyan, a mile away, and wrote many poems in it. Once, his uncle went to the Xie family from caiwan to QiaoDu as a guest. He just went upstairs and saw Xie Jishi holding the column head downstairs. He wanted to test him. He turned around and said, "nephew, I'll give you a couplet." Jishi said, "uncle, please give me a try." Uncle out of the couplet: "nephew hold column round turn." Xie Jishi saw that his uncle was going up the stairs. He turned his eyes and replied casually, "uncle is going up the stairs step by step." After listening to this, my uncle laughed and said, "if you have a nephew like this, why should I ask for it?" From time to time, he visited QiaoDu and urged him to study hard. His life achievement is inseparable from the education and edification of his mother and uncle.
gifted with an extraordinary retentive memory
Xie Jishi is gifted and intelligent, and his anecdote of "seeing ten elements with eyes, never forgetting" has spread throughout the prefecture. Once he went to uncle caiwan's house, and when he came back, he borrowed a thick book. His uncle sent him back to QiaoDu in a sedan chair. When the sedan chair man turned around, Xie Jishi gave the book to the sedan chair man to take back. The sedan chair driver asked strangely, "you don't want to see it?" Xie Jishi said, "I'm finished." Back in caiwan, the sedan chair man gave the book to his uncle and told him that Xie Jishi had finished reading the book. After hearing this, his uncle said, "such a thick book is finished after ten miles in the sedan chair. I don't believe it. He tells lies." After a few days, he specially brought the book to QiaoDu to ask Jishi what was on the page and line of the book. But Xie Jishi's answer was not bad. My uncle believed that Jishi didn't tell lies, and his memory was extraordinary. Xie Jishi also has an uncle who is in the tofu business. He has a lot of accounts in a year, which are written in a book. Xie Jishi looked at the account book, and then he threw it into the stove and burned it. When uncle came back, he couldn't find a book. He asked Jishi if he saw a book. Jishi said he saw it. Uncle asked where, Jishi said: "cold weather, cold hands, I burned the fire." My uncle was so surprised that he almost cried: "you naughty devil killed me. It's my hard money for a year. Other people's credit accounts are recorded on it. What kind of certificate do you ask me to take to ask for credit at the end of the year?" Jishi said, "I thought you didn't want it. It doesn't matter. I've read it once. Just write it for you. " Uncle could not laugh or cry: "you speak well, can you write it all? What if there are mistakes? " Jishi said, "I'll try." Uncle see no other way, had to let him write another. Jishi wrote a new one. At the end of the year, my uncle took the newly written account book to ask for an account. As expected, an account was not bad. One of them took three and a half pieces of tofu, even the half piece was not bad. This uncle usually does not believe that his nephew has the ability to never forget. This time, he believes it and praises his nephew's ability whenever he meets people. Xie Jishi is famous.
Horse racing
In the Qing Dynasty, there were six townships in the prefecture, including Chang, Wan, en, Jian, Yi and Sheng. As the saying goes, Chang Wan'er Township produced white rice, en Jian'er Township used knives and spears, Yi Township suffered a lot and became rich. At that time, most of the talented people in the prefecture came from Shengxiang. At that time, there was a young man surnamed Li in Shengxiang who was very talented. Others called him Li Caizi. Li Caizi was very unconvinced when he was praised by others for his unforgettable ability. He came to QiaoDu from his hometown to compete with Xie Jishi. Xie Jishi asked him how to compare the law, Li said: "we two went to Quanzhou City for a horse racing tour. Each of us memorized the name of the signboard on one side of the street to see which one can remember completely. If we can write it silently, we will win if we don't miss it." Xie Jishi agreed with a smile. So they came to Quanzhou City, each riding a fast horse, running from the gate of Chengtou temple to the small South Gate at the end of the street, and each of them wrote down the shop signs they had seen. As a result, in contrast, the young man surnamed Li only missed one household, which he was very proud of. If you look at the contrast written by Xie Jishi, you can see that not only one family has not been omitted, but also the surnames of Tang Ji, Jiang Ji, Li Ji, Wang Ji, etc. on the signboard have been recorded. Li Caizi swept away his pride and went away in shame.
Drying books on the road
One year, an exam was held in Quanzhou. Many people took part in the exam, and they all wanted to be among the best. Xie Jishi also took part in it. A total of five examiners, the title is: "hang a bamboo card.". During the examination, Xie Jishi was the first to finish the examination, but the top three did not have Xie Jishi's name. He was surprised and asked the examiner, who ignored him. Xie Jishi felt wronged but helpless. A few days later, an imperial envoy passed through Quanzhou. Xie Jishi knew that the imperial envoy was going to pass through panshijiao, so he lay on his back on the road. The imperial envoy came to panshijiao in a sedan chair. His entourage walked in front of him. When he saw someone sleeping on the road, he ran over and called out, "Hello! Get up quickly. The imperial envoy is here. Why are you sleeping here? " Xie Jishi replied, "I'm drying books here." Then he asked, "where are the books?" Answer: "the book is in the belly." The attendant answered strangely and ran to report that there was a strange scholar lying on the road in front of him, blocking the adult's way. He said that he was drying books. When he asked him where the books were, he said that the books were in his stomach. On hearing this, the imperial envoy thought that this man is not simple. There must be something wrong with him. Let me go down and have a look. He got out of the sedan chair and came to Xie Jishi. He asked him if he had any grievances. Xie Jishi told the imperial envoy the cause and effect of the examination. The imperial envoy came to the examination room with him and asked the examiners. He asked four examiners all the time, but they said they didn't see this paper. When asked about the last examiner, the examiner was older and had poor eyesight. He said, "it seems that I have seen the paper with this name. It's very short and has been thrown into the waste paper basket as a draft." Finally, I found the paper in a waste paper basket. It was Xie Jishi's paper. The answer was very concise. The imperial envoy changed the position of the examiner. It's a pity that at this time, the public list has been published and the ranking has been set. The imperial envoy had to add a leader to the top of the list.
A barrel of the world
April showers bring May flowers. Thanks to his talent and hard work, Xie Jishi was famous in the six townships of Quanzhou when he was young. This year, the national examination was held, and talented people from all over the country rushed to Beijing to take the examination. Xie Jishi also went to Beijing to take part in the test, and finally ranked first in the list. At that time, the number one scholar was to be recruited as the emperor's son-in-law. When the examiner saw that although Xie Jishi was the number one scholar, he was plain, dark and short, so he immediately told the emperor. The emperor saw Xie Jishi's appearance, but also felt that it was not enough to recruit him as his son-in-law. The ministers were not good at disobeying the royal rules and the emperor's wishes, so they put forward the palace examination, and the number one scholar and the number one scholar competed again, because the number one scholar was much taller and more handsome than Xie Jishi. At this time, an examiner proposed to put two empty buckets on a two-story hall dedicated to the emperor's ancestors. The champion and the top two took the buckets to the designated well to carry water at the same time. The place where the water was carried first was the champion and was called the emperor's son-in-law. This is obviously to let the tall man win the first place. Xie Jishi also understands this, but how can he tell the emperor. As soon as the command was issued, the ranking officer immediately went downstairs with a bucket to carry water.
