War love
In the days when the south of the Yangtze River turned to war, Tong Yansheng also gained love. She is Xu Min, a female soldier of the New Fourth Army and an accountant of the supply department of the fourth regiment of the second brigade. Tong Yansheng's smart and capable figure constantly appears in front of Xu Min, the accountant of the 4th regiment of the 2nd brigade, and gradually sublimates his love for him from admiration to love. Tong Yansheng also loves this stubborn, lively and righteous girl, but the more he loves her, the less he wants to marry her. For fear that the beloved will suffer mental pain due to his own blood, disability or even sacrifice in the war. Brigade commander Wang Bicheng and political commissar Liu Peishan saw their love and felt that they were a very suitable couple. They acted as the old man under the moon and contributed to the happy marriage. At the wedding ceremony, Tong Yansheng wrote a two finger wide note in the name of him and her. The two sides signed the note, pressed their fingerprints, and handed it to Liu Peishan under the moon. It was the marriage registration. The comrades in arms said wittily: "the marriage of Tong Yansheng and Xu Min is really romantic. You don't need to put on firecrackers in red or green, just the sound of guns, guns and grenades."

Character
In the summer of 1980, Tong Yansheng, then deputy commander of Jiangsu military region, went to Shanghai for medical treatment and stayed in Yan'an Hotel. While the waiter was delivering the food, Tong Yansheng got up and tore a big hole in his old shirt, which had been sewn and mended. The two young people sitting next to him heard the sound of their clothes tearing. They immediately cast a surprised look and said with a smile, "chief, your shirt should have been sent to the museum long ago." Tong Yansheng said with a smile: "we old guys are poor. During the Red Army period, I still wore the women's clothes captured from the local tyrant's house." "It's all in the 1980s. What are you doing with those rotten seeds?" Tong Yansheng seriously said: "the times are developing, and I don't agree with being so poor all the time. Especially, you young people eat better and dress better. I have no opinion. The problem is that you should never forget to work hard." Tong Yansheng's torn shirt spread like wildfire in Shanghai and soon spread to the compound of Jiangsu military region. People say everything, some say he is "stingy", some say he is "conservative", but the majority of people in the know praise him for being strict with themselves, generous, helpful and plain living. Tong Yansheng, a director of the provincial military command, said that in order to reduce the burden of the country in three years of natural disasters, he first returned the cooks he organized and cared for, and actively responded to the call of his superiors to build a nest in front of and behind his house to raise chickens, ducks, rabbits and other poultry and livestock. When these little lives grew up, he was reluctant to eat them by himself. Instead, he let civil servants chop them into pieces and give them to his neighbors and needy families. A director of the headquarters said, "at that time, there were many children in my family and life was difficult. As long as commander Tong started to make tofu, I would have a share. Whenever I ate tofu made by one armed man, my heart was warm." There is an old vegetable farmer nearby. He is still a bachelor in his sixties. He usually has no strength to work without alcohol and tobacco. But it is difficult for everyone to divide alcohol and tobacco according to their heads that month. Tong Yansheng gave up smoking and drinking in order to let the old vegetable farmer grow more vegetables and grow good ones, and gave his share to the old vegetable farmer.
