Yuan Yin

Yuan Yin (the year of birth and death is unknown), was born in Ruyang County, Runan County (now Shangshui County, Henan Province), and was a member of Yuan Shu Department at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty. He was once the prefect of Danyang, defeated by sun CE. After Yuan Shu died, he carried the coffin with Huang Yi and others, and led the rest to Liu Xun in Anhui city.

Life of the characters

Yuan Yin, a character in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, is said to be the son of Yuan Kai and the younger brother of Yuan Shu. In the second year of Xingping (195 AD), he was appointed by Yuan Shu as Taishou of Danyang. Later, he was expelled because sun CE pacified Jiangdong. In the fourth year of Jian'an (199 A.D.), Yuan Shu died. Because he was afraid of Cao Cao, Yuan Yin led Yuan Shu's trilogy, took his coffin and his wife to Wancheng, and went to Lujiang Prefecture Liu Xun. Six months later, the city of Anhui was destroyed by sun CE, and Yuan Yin and others moved to Wujun.

Description of works

In the romance of the Three Kingdoms, he was the nephew of Yuan Shu. After Yuan Shu died, he was killed by Xu Xun on the way to Lujiang to protect Yuan Shu's coffin and his wife. The jade seal left by Yuan Shu was also taken away and dedicated to Cao Cao.
