Weng Sen
Weng Sen (unknown year of birth and death), named Xiuqing and yipiao, is a native of Shuangmiao village in Xianju County, Zhejiang Province. He is a poet of the Southern Song Dynasty. He lived from the end of the Southern Song Dynasty to the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty. His life story is unknown.
Life of the characters
After the fall of the Southern Song Dynasty, Weng Sen was determined not to be an official and lived in seclusion as a professor. From Yuan Dynasty to Yuan Dynasty, jiananzhou Academy was located in chongjiaoli (Weng's residence), 25 miles southeast of the county. It took Zhu Xi's Bailudong academic rules as a discipline and insisted on educating local people with Confucianism. There are more than 800 scholars. In the Yuan Dynasty, the imperial examination was abolished, and there were few people studying in the countryside. With the decline of the style of study, the county was located in a remote place, especially in the decline of culture. With Weng Sen's efforts, the style of farming and reading became "Binbin called prosperous". Chen Gangzhong, the academician of Hanlin, once wrote the book of learning in Anzhou township.
In the 24th year of Zhiyuan Dynasty (1287), Taoist Weng Daoquan built Baozhen academy 35 Li southeast of the county. Weng Sen wrote a record of it and wrote yipiao manuscript. "Four seasons reading music" is a popular article, which was selected into the junior high school Chinese textbook in the period of the Republic of China. The tomb is in xiawengshan, Xiazhi village. In 1888, scholars Wang Yu and Wang Henian rebuilt it, and Cheng Zhang made a tablet.
Establishment of Anzhou Academy
Scale of Academies
According to the fourth volume of Weng's genealogy, Xingdi, it is stated that "to build a village school to educate children is to build thirty couplets in a book house, and to teach students in a far and near place.". This refers to the fact that he founded Anzhou Academy in Zhiyuan period (1271-1294) at his home 25 Li southeast of the county. He took "Zhu Wengong's (Zhu Xi's) Bailudong academic rules as a discipline" to run the school and gave lectures and apprentices in person, with "more than 800 scholars" successively.
He is knowledgeable, rigorous and well-trained. His Anzhou academy is beautiful, has a good style of study, and is full of vitality and books. His good friend Chen Gangzhong (a native of Linhai, an official in the Imperial Academy) came back after he was sent to Xichuan and visited his Academy. He wrote the annals of Anzhou rural school, which has a real record of the operation of the Academy: "following his vassal, his rank is high, his work is promoted, his piano is brilliant, and his title is high. Even though all kinds of living fish pass through the mountain, they meet the big belt of their clothes and bend down. Their appearance is solemn, their Qi is full, and their recitation sounds like gold and stone.
Famous students
Many of the students of Anzhou college come from neighboring counties. There are evidences to be tested, such as: Zhou runzu (Linhai people, scholar, calligrapher), Yang tongweng (Linhai people, scholar, poet, once granted to the mountain head of Cihu Academy in Raozhou), Xiang Jiong (Linhai people, scholar, poet, the 13th grandson of Xiang SI), Tao Desheng (Linhai people, scholar, poet), etc. These people are knowledgeable, noble and have a good reputation in the society, but influenced by their teachers, many of them live in seclusion.
teach well
Weng Fuji, Weng's direct grandson, is the son of Deyu, Weng's eldest son. He was born when Weng Sen was 46 years old. He was a rural tribute Jinshi in the year of Zhizheng Xinmao. He won the first place in the world in the book of songs examination in the spring of the next year (the imperial examination was resumed in the second year of emperor Renzong in the Yuan Dynasty), and was later awarded judge Huang Yan. Fu Jiqin was taught by his grandfather and studied his poems. He became famous and his style of poetry was very similar to his grandfather.
