Qin Lin (1899-1937.10.23), whose name is Songtao, was born in Guilin, Guangxi, and a famous Anti Japanese general. In 1919, he was admitted to the Military Academy of Guangxi army. After graduation, he served successively as staff officer, company commander, battalion commander, etc. In 1936, he entered the advanced class of the sixth branch of the Central Army Academy of military officers. After the outbreak of the Anti Japanese war in 1937, he served as the deputy commander of 511 brigade of 171 division of the seventh army, and was ordered to lead his troops to the Songhu battlefield. On October 21, 1937, the headquarters fought fiercely with the Japanese army in the area of laolaolaoqiao in Shanghai, resulting in heavy losses on both sides. On October 23, the Japanese army counterattacked on the whole line, and Qin Lin commanded the whole brigade to fight bravely. At 3 p.m., the Japanese attacked the brigade position again. Qin Lin led the Ministry to support and make up the gap. On the way, he encountered a large number of Japanese troops. In the fierce battle, Qin Lin died bravely, and the national government awarded Qin Lin as Lieutenant General of the army.

Therefore, he refused to take part in the civil war and served as a military officer. He only worked as an instructor in military schools to educate students. In 1924, Mr. Li Zongren presided over the administration of Guangxi Province and decided to follow Dr. Sun Yat Sen to join the revolution and overthrow the imperialist forces and the Northern Warlords. At this time, Qin Lin decided to follow Mr. Li Zongren as a military officer and contribute to the revolutionary cause. As a staff officer, adjutant and company commander, he calmed the warlords of various factions in Guangxi and laid a solid foundation for the northern expedition. In 1926, generals Li Zongren and Bai Chongxi led their troops into the northern expedition of the National Revolutionary Army and established the seventh army of the national revolutionary army. Qin Lin was promoted to battalion commander. Not long after, Qin Lin led his troops to take part in the northern expedition. In the northern expedition, he fought bravely, took the lead, and led the troops wisely and resourcefully. He made many achievements in fighting against the Northern Warlords in Hunan and other places. In 1927, Qin Lin led his troops to continue to participate in the northern expedition. In the battles of tuogao, Jiulong and mentai, all the generals were killed and the flag was seized. Unexpectedly, our army encountered a large number of enemy troops and chariot troops on the March. The encounter immediately started, and our army immediately went into battle. However, there was still a huge gap in equipment and firepower, which made our army gradually lose the edge, failed to consolidate the front as expected, and closed the gap. At this time, the situation was extremely critical. General Qin Lin's main position was attacked by the enemy on both sides. General Qin Lin knew that the situation was dangerous, but he went to the front line to supervise the division and led the soldiers to fight with the enemy. Under the advantageous situation, the enemy launched a frenzied attack, and the enemy swarmed to our army. General Qin Lin was not afraid.
