In January 2015, he was removed from the post of Party member and deputy director (temporary post) of the Foreign Affairs (Overseas Chinese Affairs) Office (Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office) of the people's Government of Tan Banglin autonomous region.
On April 19, 2018, Tan Banglin, the new Consul General in Jeddah, submitted his letter of appointment to Gamal, director general of Mecca regional branch of Saudi foreign ministry.
