Xiaozhuang
Xiaozhuang (549-577), whose name is unknown, was born in Lanling County, nanlanling county (now Wujin District, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province). The last emperor of Liang Dynasty (557-560), the eldest grandson of Xiao Yi, the emperor of Liang Yuan, and the son of Xiao Fang, the prince of Wuli.
In the second year of Taiping (557), it was learned that Chen Baxian deposed Xiao Fangzhi, the king of Liang Jing, and established himself as emperor in Xiangzhou under the support of Wang Lin, the governor of Xiangzhou. He established Wuchang as his capital, named Tianqi, and governed the two lakes area. He was nine years old, young and ignorant, so the Prime Minister Wang Lin took charge of the government. From the first year of Tianqi (558) to the second year of Tianqi (559), he supported Wang Lin to attack Chen year after year, and once came to Nanjing. In the third year of Tianqi (560), he lost the battle and fled to the Northern Qi Dynasty with Wang Lin.
In the first year of Chengguang in the Northern Qi Dynasty (577), the Northern Qi Dynasty was destroyed by the Northern Zhou Dynasty.
Life of the characters
Xiao Zhuang is the grandson of Xiao Yi, the emperor of Liang Yuan, and the son of Xiao Fang, the son of Wu lie. When his grandfather Liang Yuandi was the king of Xiangdong, Xiao Fang, the father of Xiaozhuang, was named the son of Xiangdong. After emperor Liang Yuan succeeded to the throne, he posthumously named his son Xiao Fang as the son of Wu lie, and granted his grandson Xiao Zhuang the title of King Yongjia.
In the third year of Chengsheng (554), the Western Wei Dynasty captured Jiangling and killed emperor Liangyuan. Xiaozhuang was only seven years old at that time and fled to the people's home. Later, Wang Lin found him and escorted him back to Jiankang (now Nanjing, Jiangsu).
In 555, Xiao Fangzhi, the ninth uncle of Xiaozhuang, became emperor and sent Xiaozhuang to the Northern Qi Dynasty as a hostage.
In the second year of Taiping (557), Chen Baxian deposed Xiao Fangzhi and established the Chen regime of the Southern Dynasty. Wang Lin and others asked the Northern Qi Dynasty to return Xiao Zhuang to replace Liang emperor of the Southern Dynasty, so Xiao Zhuang crossed the Yangtze River from the basin city to the south. In the first month of 558, Xiao Zhuang was supported by Wang Lin in Yingzhou and became emperor liang of the Southern Dynasty. His age was Tianqi, and he set up a hundred officials. Wang Lin was in charge of military affairs. Its sphere of influence is in the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River.
Later, Xiao Zhuang and Chen Baxian's Southern Dynasty Chen regime continued to fight. In the third year of Tianqi (560), when Wang Lin was fighting with Chen general Hou in Wuhu, the Northern Zhou Dynasty sent troops to attack Yingzhou. As a result, Wang Lin was defeated and fled to the Northern Qi Dynasty with Xiao Zhuang.
In 570, the first year of Wuping in the Northern Qi Dynasty, Emperor Gao Wei appointed Xiao Zhuang as the third division of tejin and Kaifu Yitong.
In the first year of Chengguang (577), the Northern Zhou Dynasty perished in the Northern Qi Dynasty. Xiao Zhuang died of resentment in Yecheng. He was 29 years old and was posthumously named Liezong.
Character evaluation
It was Wang Lin, a famous general of the same generation, who was able to continue Liang Si Di's reign. When Wang Lin was in exile, she was also highly respected by the army and the people of foreign countries.
