Zheng Lian
Zheng Lian (1628-1710) is a native of Shangqiu, Henan Province. Zhu Sheng. He was friendly with Liu Zhen in Tongli. He was 83 years old and had a close relationship with Tian Lanfang in Suizhou. In addition, Liu Xiatang's collection and biography of Qing history were handed down to the world.
Biography: a brief account of the changes in Henan, written by Zheng Lian in the late Ming Dynasty, is an important historical record of the deeds of the bandits (peasant army) in the late Ming Dynasty. Zheng Lian was a native of guide (now Shangqiu) in Henan Province in the late Ming Dynasty. When he was 15 years old, Li Zicheng attacked Henan Province. As a result, Zheng Lian was captured by the peasant army and worked in the peasant army for many years. When Zheng Lian was in his seventies, he completed a brief account of the changes in Henan Province. Compared with the indirect reports of Ji Liuqi's Ming Ji Bei Lue and Wu Weiye's Sui Kou Ji Lue, Yubian Ji Lue is a more real first-hand information. This book is included in sanyitang series. According to the records of the famine in Henan Province in the 13th year of Chongzhen, there were "two thousand nine hundred dollars for rice in Luozhong" and "many disasters in the Ming Dynasty, especially in the 13th year". In the chronicle of the changes in Henan Province, Li Zicheng's great relief to the hungry people is recorded in detail: "when the red millet is decayed to it, the thief uses it to open the warehouse to relieve the hungry people. Far and near, the hungry people hoe and go. They are like running water, calling for millions day and night, and their potential is burning a prairie fire. This book has a very detailed record. For example, it records that on the night of the 11th day of the first month of Hongguang's first year of the Southern Ming Dynasty, Xu Dingguo, Henan general, lured and killed Gao Jie with geisha and wine in Suizhou, Henan Province. Therefore, Yuan Keli's mansion is called "the disaster of Yuan Yuan", which is not recorded in his book. According to Yu Bian Ji Lue, there is no Li Yan in Qi County, because he was written by people at that time, which is more credible.
