For fear of defeat
When King Yanhui was the crown prince, he was dissatisfied with general Leyi. After King Yanhui ascended the throne, Qi general Tian Dan learned that there was a conflict between King Yanhui and Yue Yi, so he carried out an anti Japanese strategy against the state of Yan, spreading rumors that "there are only two cities left in the state of Qi that have not been conquered, so he didn't attack them as soon as possible. It's said that there is some discord between Yue Yi and the new king of Yan. Yue Yi deliberately delayed his time by using troops intermittently and stayed in the state of Qi The state of Qi was called king. What Qi was afraid of was that the generals of the Yan faction came. " At that time, King Yan Hui was already suspicious of Yue Yi, and when he heard the provocation of Qi's rebellion, he sent Qijie to replace Yue Yi as general, and wanted to recall Yue Yi. Yue Yi knew in his heart that it was ill intentioned for King Yan Hui to send someone to replace him. He was afraid that he would be killed when he returned home, so he fled to the West and went to the state of Zhao. In the same year, Tian Dan fought with Qijie. Tian Dan designed a series of deceptions to deceive the Yan army. Relying on the troops of Jimo (now Southeast of Pingdu City, Shandong Province), Tian Dan defeated Qijie with the fire ox array under Jimo City. Qijie died. Yan army returned to Yan state, and Tian Dan chased the defeated Yan state. Tiandan went north to catch up with the river, so he recovered all the lost land of Qi. Tian Dan met the king of Qi Xiang from Ju City and returned to Linzi, the capital of Qi state.
Sorry, Leyi
After the great defeat of the Yan army, King Hui of Yan regretted that he had replaced Yue Yi with riding robbers. As a result, he was defeated miserably and lost the land of Qi. At the same time, King Yan Hui resented Yue Yi's surrender to the state of Zhao, and was afraid that the state of Zhao would appoint Yue Yi, so he came to attack while the state of Yan was weak. So King Yan Hui sent someone to reprimand Le Yi, and apologized to him, saying: "the former king entrusted the whole state of Yan to the general. The general avenged the former king for the defeat of the state of Qi. The world is not shocked. How can I forget the credit of the general one day! Just when the late king left, I took the throne at the beginning. It was the people around me who delayed me. The reason why I sent the cavalry robber to replace the general is that the general has been living in the open for many years. It's too hard, so please come back to have a rest and discuss state affairs. However, the general mistakenly heard the rumors and thought that there was something at odds with me, so he abandoned the state of Yan and surrendered to the state of Zhao. There is nothing wrong with the general's plan for himself, but how can he repay the former king for his kindness to the general? " After listening to this, Yue Yi wrote back to King Yanhui, which is the letter to King Yanhui. Therefore, King Yanhui named Yue Jian, son of Yue Yi, King Chang. Leyi and Yan are good friends and travel between Yan and Zhao. Both Yan and Zhao appoint him as guest minister.
