Later, under the influence of Liu Juemin and others of the revolutionary party, he recognized the situation, defected to Sun Yat sen in Guangzhou, and rescued Mr. Zhongshan in danger for many times. under the leadership of Sun Yat Sen, fan Zhongxiu made great contributions to the revolution and was praised by Sun Yat Sen many times. During the May 30th Movement, he sincerely supported the revolutionary masses and opposed imperialism; during the northern expedition, he led the army to cooperate with the National Revolutionary Army to fight against warlords of all factions; during the Central Plains war, he was not bribed by Chiang Kai Shek, but resolutely opposed Chiang Kai Shek, and was a revolutionary fighter.
Fighting against Yuan Dynasty
Fan Zhongxiu (1888-1930) was born in Xiazhuang village, Daying Town, Baofeng County, Henan Province. He studied in a private school when he was young. At the age of 14, he studied martial arts in Shaolin temple for three years. In the winter of 1911, Li Yadong, a Shaolin boxing friend who participated in the Wuchang Uprising, arrived in Hubei at the invitation of Huang Xing and other Democratic Party leaders. At the beginning of 1912, he was appointed deputy commander of the left wing advance army in the northern expedition by Hubei governor Li Yuanhong. He led the five battalions back to Henan Province to conquer Xinye, Dengzhou and Nanyang. Yuan Shikai, who was born in the east of Henan Province, did not allow revolutionaries' activities on the side of his family's ancestral tombs. He sent his cousin Zhang Zhenfang as the governor of Henan Province to Henan Province to suppress. Zhang used the method of recruitment and demobilization to break up the advance army, and ordered fan Zhongxiu to be arrested. Fan then went back to Baofeng's hometown. In order to avoid arrest by the government and extortion by bandits, fan moved his family westward to Huanglong Mountain area, Shaanxi Province. The banditry was more serious here, and the fan family had to move three places. In the end, he was bullied by a bandit surnamed Huang as soon as he settled down in Xipan. Fan Zhongxiu couldn't bear it, so he called his good friend Guo Jinbang and so on to go up the mountain at night and chop Huang Biao, the bandit leader. Then he took his men south to Chengcheng, killed the militia of Fengyuan town and killed Liu Zhaoyi, the leader of the regiment; when he returned to Huanglong, he took the nest of the militia of Qingming mountain and shot Guo Yushan, the leader of the regiment. News came out one after another, and fan Zhongxiu gained a great reputation. He was regarded as a hero to protect the territory and protect the people. Many Greenwoods (armed forces gathered in the mountains to fight against feudal rule and to kill local tyrants), "swordsmen" (folk secret armed forces in Eastern Shaanxi at the end of the Qing Dynasty, named after their members who often wore "Guanshan knives" about three feet long and two inches wide) came to join him, and more than 100 people gathered in half a year. After the bandits and the militia did not dare to commit any more mischief, fan targeted the government Yamen. He broke Yichuan twice and raided Yijun, making it impossible for the provincial governor's office to send governors to these counties. Lu Jianzhang, the murderous governor of Shaanxi Province, first sent his son Lu Chengwu to take his brother Shang Zhen to a regular regiment to fight for "suppression". Shang was afraid of breaking his old roots and retreating to Yan'an. Lu changed his strategy and wanted to attract and reorganize. At this time, one day in the winter of 1915, Hui Youguang, a member of the Northern Shaanxi revolutionary party, came to Huanglongshan to tell fan about the historical origins of Lu Jianzhang and Yuan Shikai, the numerous crimes after Lu supervised Shaanxi and the situation of Shaanxi people's "fighting against yuan and chasing the land", warning him not to help tyranny. Fan Zhongxiu, happy that he didn't get on the boat by mistake, immediately told Hui that he would never be the accomplice of yuan and Lu. He did what he said. He personally drafted to discuss yuan Xiwen, electrified the whole country and expressed his position. Soon after, he accepted the advice of Yan Ximin, a lobbyist sent by Chen Shufan and a fellow townsman of Baofeng, and sent troops to cut off the traffic from Xi'an to Yan'an, forcing Shang Zhen to lead his troops eastward across the Yellow River to take refuge in Yan Xishan, thus contributing to the land drive.
The uprising
In June 1916, Chen Shufan took over from Lu Jianzhang to supervise Shaanxi, and then joined the Northern Warlords. Hu Jingyi, Guo Jian, Cao Shiying and other figures of the Democratic Party fought against Chen and established the banner of the Jingguo army in Shaanxi. In the winter of that year, Chen Fu sent Yan Ximin to northern Shaanxi to talk about fan. Fan accepted Chen's adaptation because he didn't know the truth. He was ordered to go south and join forces with Zeng Jixian of Chen Department to attack Sanyuan, the base of the Yasukuni army. After failure, he retreated to Jingyang. Cao Shiying once sent people to cooperate with fan Mi to capture Jingyang, but failed because of the wrong contact. Soon after, Hu Jingyi, Zhang Yi'an and others led a team to attack Xi'an, and Chen Shufan dispatched fan to rescue. At the beginning, fan Bu was stationed in the East Street of Xi'an City, and later moved to the areas of Yuhua village, Ganjia village and Muta village in the southwest of Xi'an city. One day, Zhang Yi'an led his troops to attack Yuhua village at night, disarmed a company of fan's troops, and sent people to meet fan and urge him to revolt. Fan was dissatisfied with Chen Shufan's disobedience to the Beijing government, so he decided to leave Chen Shufan and set up the banner of the Yasukuni army. Zhang Yi'an returned the weapons he had collected. The two sides agreed to stop fighting. Fan's troops went to Shangzhou to rectify and stand by. In August 1918, Yu Youren was invited to return to Shaanxi as commander-in-chief of the Shaanxi Yasukuni army. He organized the Yasukuni army as the sixth route commander and fan as the second route commander. In order to deal with the increasingly powerful Yasukuni army, Chen Shufan asked the Beijing government for help while using the "governor of Shaanxi Province" as a bait to invite Liu Zhenhua to lead the Zhensong army into Shaanxi to help. In April and may of the same year, fan learned that a brigade trained by Chen Shufan in Baoding was stationed in Tongguan, so he took advantage of Youguang's suggestion, raided Tongguan, defeated Chen Jun, seized a large number of weapons and ammunition, and returned to Shangnan three days later. In June of the next year, fan Bu stationed in Lantian, once attacked Baqiao in Xi'an, defeated a regiment of Chen Jun, injured a brigade commander, and then attacked Liu Zhenhua Bu stationed in Lingkou. Since then, Fanbu went west to Dawang town and attacked Huxian and Zhouzhi. Chen Shufan sent Liu Zhenhua and his Zhensong army to attack, and fan retreated to Zhouzhi. At that time, in order to support Chen Jun, the Beijing government mobilized tens of thousands of troops from Feng, Zhi, Jin, Gan, Chuan and e provinces to enter Shaanxi from East, West, South and North. In January 1919, fan was forced to break through the encirclement and retreat to Fengxiang, where he joined the first route of Guo Jian and the Eighth Army of Yunnan's Jingguo army in aid of Shaanxi. Soon after, on the ground that the army and the people were exhausted after years of fighting, fan and Guo Jian discussed with Xu Lanzhou, a member of the Chen Feng army, who was stationed in Fengxiang and Qishan, to accept the reorganization of the Feng army, and fan served as the commander of the first detachment; the eighth Yunnan army, who was unwilling to accept the reorganization, went to Yaoxian to join other routes of the Yasukuni army. So far, the first and second routes of the Yasukuni army stopped fighting with Chen Jun, and the war in Western Shaanxi stopped temporarily.
Bravely resist bandits' oppression and rise in the grass
Fan Zhongxiu, whose name is Xingmin, was born in 1888 and has four brothers. He ranks second, so he is known as "fan Laoer". His father's name was Daolong. He was born in the late Qing Dynasty. He taught and practiced medicine. He had 85 mu of land in his family and cultivated it by himself. Zhong Xiu went to a private school with his father when he was young, but he hated Bagu. Because he admired the ancient chivalrous people, he trudged to Shaolin temple when he was 13 years old. He learned martial arts by worshiping the great monk Henglin. In 1911, fan Zhongxiu, at the invitation of his classmates xuwannian (the representative of the gun team of Wuchang Uprising), went to Wuhan to join the northern expedition organized by liyadong, commander-in-chief of Henan army. After the failure of the northern expedition, fan Zhongxiu was wanted, and fan Zhongxiu ran back to his hometown to avoid. However, his hometown was also not peaceful. In the late Qing Dynasty, politics was dark, corrupt officials were rampant and lawless. In addition, western Henan suffered from drought and poor harvest year by year, and the people were in dire straits. One day in 1913, Niu Tianxiang, the local bandit leader, went to various houses to extort gold and silver, and the fan family was also doomed. The bandits claimed that fan Zhongxiu's family must deliver 300 liang of silver within three days, or they will kill his family. Forced into helplessness, the fan family had to swallow their anger and sell their grain and property in exchange for silver to the bandits. But not long after the incident, the bandit leader learned that fan Zhongxiu's sister was good-looking. He sent a message to the fan family to send her to the mountain village to be his wife. Hearing the news, the fan family decided to flee their hometown, so they fled to huojiagou, Luochuan County, Shaanxi Province with some relatives to make a living. However, this is not a paradise. Since the long-term war between the Nien army and the Qing army in Xianfeng and Tongzhi years of the Qing Dynasty, due to the sparse population and the barren land in Northern Shaanxi, many peasants who fled from the wasteland in Henan and Shanxi took Northern Shaanxi as their destination. After these people arrived in Northern Shaanxi, they made efforts to open up wasteland on their own. Even so, the government did not let these peasants escape from the wasteland, and formulated many exploitation systems, such as forcing the foreigners (i.e. the foreign Pioneers) to pay taxes on the cultivated wasteland (i.e. the land that had not been cultivated before) or the cultivated wasteland without owners. In addition, these local tyrants and extortionists were oppressed, extorted and extorted. Fan Zhongxiu's family is living a hard life together with other customers. Fortunately, both brothers were good at farming, which saved the fan family from hunger. Luochuan County is close to Huanglong Mountain, with undulating mountains and overlapping peaks. Huanglong Mountain covers an area of four or five hundred Li. It has abundant water resources and dense trees. It is a good place for agricultural production, but it is also the birthplace of bandits
