Wang Kanghong, male, was born in Bazhong, Sichuan Province in 1973. He graduated from the Department of geography of Sichuan Normal University with a bachelor's degree in 1995, a master's degree from resource College of Beijing Normal University in 1998, and a doctor's degree in geographic information system from the Institute of Geographic Science and resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences in June 2001. He is currently the director and vice president of Beijing Chaotu Software Co., Ltd., Deputy Secretary General of China Global Positioning System Association, and executive director of China Geographic Information Industry Association.

He has successively served as project manager, engineering manager, software product sales manager and vice president of software business department of Chaotu company. Since 2005, he has served as vice president of the company. He has been a director of Beijing Chaotu Software Co., Ltd. since 2008. in 2001, the software product sales department of SuperMap company was established from scratch, and has been responsible for the supermapgis software market and sales for many years, making great contributions to establishing the position of SuperMap in China's GIS industry.
