Pan Quan
Pan Quan, born in 1961, doctor of engineering, is currently the dean of School of automation, Northwest University of technology, executive vice president of national security college, and director of Key Laboratory of information fusion technology, Ministry of education.
He has successively presided over and undertaken national major science and technology projects, National Natural Science Foundation of China, 863 and other projects, and won 1 National Science and technology progress award, 1 National Science and technology progress award, and 10 provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards.
He was awarded the China Youth Science and technology award, the cross century talent training plan of the Ministry of education, and the expert with outstanding contribution in Shaanxi Province. Since 1991, he has taught 6 postdoctoral students, 50 doctoral students and 85 master students. He has won one second prize of national teaching achievement award, one special prize of Shaanxi teaching achievement award and one excellent teacher of Shaanxi Province.

research findings
1. He initiated the basic research of adaptive multiple model estimation theory and applied it to solve the problem of robust modeling of large maneuvering targets;
2. He first proposed the theory of dominant data association and generalized data association, and applied it to solve the core problem of real-time data association in multi-target tracking;
3. He proposed a new concept of fuzzy tracking and completed new theories and algorithms such as fuzzy multi model modeling, which provides new ideas and approaches for the long stagnant intelligent tracking research at home and abroad.
4. In addition, he also took the lead in basic and applied research on constant gain hybrid estimation, multi-stage hybrid estimation, parallel hybrid estimation, fuzzy neural data fusion and adaptive wavelet filtering theory at home and abroad.
Main achievements
1. He created a new situation in the research of multi-target detection, tracking and attack technology system in China, made unremitting efforts and made important contributions to the project approval and development of a series of multi-target systems of the Commission of science, technology and industry for national defense;
2. He is responsible for completing the first airborne multi-target detection, tracking and attack closed-loop digital simulation system jointly developed by many units in China;
3. New theories such as adaptive multi model estimation are applied to solve the technical problems of robust tracking of large maneuvering target of new generation airborne fire control radar and multi-target data processing of airborne early warning system;
4. The first airborne TWS multi-target environment simulation software package, multi-target real-time tracking software package and 330 million times of fully interconnected multi-target tracking high-speed parallel simulation system in China have been developed. A number of achievements in the "Seventh Five Year Plan" and "Eighth Five Year Plan" have passed the ministerial appraisal and reached the current international advanced level. It has won one third prize of national science and technology progress award, one first and one second prize of Aviation Industry Corporation Science and technology progress award respectively. In recognition of his contribution to the work of national defense science and technology, he was awarded the second prize of "Guanghua Science and Technology Fund" by the Commission of science, technology and industry for national defense in 1995 and the third prize of "Eighth Five Year Plan" for tackling key problems of national defense science and technology by the Aviation Industry Corporation in 1996. In the Ninth Five Year Plan of national defense science and technology, he is currently in charge of two national defense key pre research projects, with a research fund of 3.5 million yuan. At the same time, he also undertakes a number of national defense research projects, such as "parameter resource control system of airborne early warning system".
